My name is Leah Capitini, and I am honored to join the wonderful team at the Monteverde Cloud Forest School. I was born and raised in New York, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Binghamton University and a Master of Arts in Education from Brooklyn College. I have held teaching licenses in New York and Colorado and completed professional development courses earning endorsements for multilingual learners, as well as a TESOL certification in support of tutoring students learning English as a foreign language.

My goal is to meet each child where they are and shape the instructional setting around their individual strengths, needs, and interests. I am deeply inspired by the cloud forest setting, which naturally supports project-based, competency-based, and whole-child learning.

As both an educator and a parent of students at the Cloud Forest School, I have a deep appreciation for the values that guide the teachers and staff here. I look forward to learning alongside students and colleagues and contributing to the vibrant community that makes this school so special.
